The Rainbow Experience is an inspiring destination store located on the ground floor at Mandela Rhodes Place - showcasing the creativity and enterprising spirit of the Rainbow Nation. The Rainbow Experience is centered around Nelson Mandela, his legacy and life journey and honours Mandela's belief in the philosophy of "ubuntu".

This multi-level concept store offers visitors of all ages a showcase of the artworks of South Africa's finest artists, inspiring events, creative workshops and an interactive retail store. Browse through an expert collection of the Books and CD's of South Africa and Africa's most talented authors and musicians, designer crafts on exhibition including jewellery, delicate beadmaking, uniquely African clothing & shoes, quirky bags and hand-made postcards. The Rainbow Experience recently launched Cape Town's newest Jazz Club - The Rainbow Room in it's basement-venue where locals and tourists can experience bi-weekly performances by SA's finest musicians.
